Our team has raised $1,240.00. We only have three walkers so far, there is certainly room for more. And for those of you that are competitive, I’ve already raised $790. Visit our team page to keep track of our efforts, to join, and to donate!
A new member inquired about volunteering opportunities…
As far as volunteer opportunities are concerned, Log Cabin can always use support by attending our monthly meetings. Our meetings are an opportunity to get involved in supporting political candidates or causes…
The very first thing that everyone should do is to join us on the AIDS Walk. A team of us are raising money for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. You can sign-up on our team page.
Aside from that activity which is coming up in August, check out the Howard Brown Volunteer page and the Center on Halsted.
Just an alert…i’m speaking today with Chicago PFLAG. We’ll be meeting at their regular meeting location: Howard Brown Health Center, 4025 N. Sheridan Road. The meeting starts at 2pm. Afterwards, we’ll be gathering at Sidetrack for some Sunday afternoon socializing. I’ll let you know how everything goes!
